The successful candidate will work under the Managing Director who will oversee and ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and regulatory bodies. In addition, we expect the candidate to have a working knowledge of the DOB's system and procedures and be able to maintain a relationship with the Building Department as well as the other City agencies.
WHATYOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
Include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures for building projects.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Review building plans and specifications for compliance with codes and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to address compliance issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory agencies.
- Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related matters.
The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000.
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in building compliance or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Building Official, ICC certification) are a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft software.
- This is a fulltime position, Monday - Friday with the schedule being 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am
-5pm. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, tight deadlines and work on various projects concurrently.
