Position
COOKFOX Architect’s Interior Architectural Designer (Full‑time, New York) offers a salary range of $85,000 - $95,000 annually.
We are seeking a creative Interior Architectural Designer with at least 5 years of professional experience to join our studio. The role provides direct exposure to the design process of highly crafted, award‑winning interior spaces and offers mentorship from experienced architects to foster design growth.
The position focuses on the interior architectural scope, including the selection of finishes and fixtures, development of architectural and millwork details, and coordination of trades such as MEP and lighting.
Applicants should have an expressed interest in collaborative studio work, a passion for environmental sustainability, and a commitment to social equity and inclusion.
Candidate Qualifications- 5 or more years of professional experience in an architectural or interior design studio
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
- Experience working on multiple interior projects; high‑end, multi‑family residential, and/or hospitality experience preferred
- Knowledge of interior‑related building codes and standards; sustainability and health and wellness standards a plus
- Strong leadership, management, and mentorship skills
- Exceptional communication skills and professionalism in dealing with diverse clients, consultants, and vendors
- Self‑motivated, energetic, and organized
- Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Suite required;
Sketch Up and AutoCAD a plus
