Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Project Architect with a hospitality focus and a minimum of 8 years of professional experience leading projects through all phases of design and construction. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience guiding hospitality projects from schematic design through construction administration, with a strong command of technical documentation, consultant coordination, and client‑facing communication.
This role requires initiative, technical rigor, and the ability to independently manage project workflows in close collaboration with our principals, designers, and extended project teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead hospitality projects across all phases, from Schematic Design and Design Development through Construction Documents and Construction Administration.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for consultants, contractors, and clients during active project phases.
- Oversee and coordinate the preparation of comprehensive construction document sets, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Manage and maintain project Revit models in alignment with office BIM standards, coordinating across architectural, consultant, and production teams.
- Integrate consultant drawings and models into the architectural model prior to issuance.
- Translate design intent into precise, buildable documentation that reflects the firm's high standards for detail and material quality.
- Apply deep knowledge of construction methods, materials, millwork, and finishes across hospitality typologies.
- Review drawings for compliance with building codes, ADA requirements, and applicable permitting regulations.
- Support construction administration activities including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and site observations.
- Minimum 8 years of full‑time professional experience in an architecture office (academic or internship experience will not be considered).
- Demonstrated experience leading hospitality projects through full project cycles, from early design phases through construction administration.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit (required; primary documentation platform).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD (required).
- Strong understanding of detailing, materials, millwork, finishes, and construction methods as they apply to hospitality environments.
- Familiarity with FF&E documentation and hospitality project standards.
- Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and ADA requirements.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines, coordinate across disciplines, and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Architectural license preferred but not required.
- Must be based in New York City and available to work in the office full‑time.
- Experience with BIM 360 or other project collaboration platforms.
- Exposure to international hospitality projects or branded hotel standards.
- Licensure in progress or completed.
