Job Title: Project Architect
Location: 42 W 39th Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10018
Job Type: Full Time, Onsite Monday‑Friday (8:30AM-5:15PM)
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 USD
Job Description: Velocity Architecture & Engineering DPC, a BRAVO Group company, is seeking a Project Architect to join our team. This role is ideal for a licensed architect (RA) with proven experience delivering New York City public agency projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project development from concept through construction administration, ensuring compliance with NYC codes and public agency requirements
- Manage design and documentation processes using AutoCAD and Revit/BIM, maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy
- Support junior staff, providing guidance on technical execution and project coordination
- Navigate NYC zoning, building codes, Local Law 11, and ADA regulations to ensure project compliance
- Manage project schedules while coordinating with consultants, contractors, and client representatives
- Interface with NYC and state agencies, demonstrating a strong understanding of public sector project requirements
- Valid license as a Registered Architect (RA) in NY is strongly preferred; candidates able to obtain licensure within 6 months (e.g., have passed multiple exams) will be considered
- 5‑7 years of experience in architectural design and project management
- Direct experience with NYC and NY State public agency projects is preferred; familiarity with NYC codes is required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid Registered Architect license in NY or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months
- 5‑7 years of experience in architectural design and project management
- Experience with NYC and NY State public agency projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
