Location: New York

We currently have a great opportunity for an Associate Designer. The Associate Designer will support the Designer in executing the overall vision, style, and aesthetic for our womenswear brands while taking on increased responsibility across development and design execution.

Responsibilities
  • Support product development across all stages under direction of design leadership, including sketching, detail sketches, and tech pack execution (proto stage)
  • Create and update CADs, line sheets, and color cards to support seasonal development
  • Measure proto samples and actively participate in fittings, supporting follow up and execution
  • Assist in maintaining and organizing seasonal fabric assortments
  • Coordinate and track samples, including proto and sales samples
  • Support communication with overseas vendors, including sending packages and following up on development
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis to support seasonal direction
  • Shop retail and competitive market to build understanding of customer and product landscape
  • Support concept research and seasonal development ideas
  • Assist in managing development timelines and adhering to key calendar milestones
  • Partner cross functionally with design, sales, and production to support development needs
  • Participate in meetings, fittings, and seasonal reviews
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or related field
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in sweater or knits categories
  • Ability to spec garments and support technical development
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator;
    Photoshop skills preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and development process
