Architect Overview

OBRA Architects is a New York and Seoul-based design firm committed to a practice grounded in the pursuit of architecture both professionally and culturally. The projects developed by the firm consider issues that include the client’s needs, budget, code requirements, and environment.

We believe that authentic architecture helps society and can become an agent of good in the world. Our projects embody a unique synthesis of these considerations.

• Move fluently between design and construction phases.
• Handle multiple projects of various size and complexity.
• Project management, detail and design development, construction documents, construction administration, site supervision.
• Permit filing processes, code research, zoning analysis, and securing approvals from regulatory agencies.
• Client communications, contract documentation, project scheduling, team leadership, technical detailing, consultant coordination, construction administration.

• Minimum eight (8) years of experience.
• 5-year Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture preferred.
• Love for architecture and eagerness to pursue its realization through original thinking.
• Understanding of NYC code, International Building Code and construction standards.
• Familiarity with the firm’s work on  recommended.

• Salary commensurate with experience.
