Location: New York
Overview
Well established fashion company is seeking a Senior Technical Designer with minimum 5 year of children’s apparel experience. This opportunity offers room to grow in an environment with work life balance.
SalarySalary: $90,000-$115,000 +
Responsibilities- Submit detailed sketches along with tech packs including measurements and size grading.
- Collaborate with design team assisting with initial spec.
- Update Technical Packages to be sent to in house factories and overseas vendors including construction sketch, construction description, and garment proposed specs.
- Follow up fit samples for construction and measurement accuracy.
- Evaluate each garment spec measurements, yarns, stitches and construction detail.
- Review with vendors on grading and/or construction corrections that are required.
- Must be able to solve problems and identify fit problems.
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient in PLM, is a plus, Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Patterns, Grading and Garment construction.
- 4 years technical design experience in including knowledge of children’s wear.
