Location: New York
Mission Hires is recruiting a Junior Architecture Designer (Junior Design Professional) for a leading, award‑winning design firm’s Corporate/Commercial Interiors practice in New York City. In this hybrid, full‑time role, you will support client‑facing design efforts from programming and test‑fits through design development and construction, producing 3D concepts, renderings, FF'E specifications, and coordinating across clients, consultants, and project teams. Salary: $70K–$85K with comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities- Interface with clients throughout the design phase
- Assist the design director in overseeing the design team
- Develop preliminary programs of requirements
- Create test‑fits, schematic planning, program analysis, and basic code analysis
- Prepare design scope, budget documentation, and budget analysis
- Develop 3D design concepts, including lighting and FF'E
- Coordinate design requirements with clients, consultants, and the project team
- Select, present, and specify furniture, finishes, and accessories
- Prepare furniture bid documents and analyze vendor responses
- Review furniture dealer specifications and assist with furniture punch‑lists
- Coordinate design development package for construction documents
- Assist in reviewing engineering documents for compliance with design intent
- Review shop drawings and submittals for design intent
- Conduct project site visits during construction as needed
- 2–4 years of continuous Corporate/Commercial interiors design experience
- Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to create photorealistic renderings using Enscape and AI-driven software
- Experience specifying systems and ancillary furniture
- Understanding of schematic design, design development, and contract documents
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Detail‑oriented mindset with ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
- Based in or able to work in New York City; hybrid full‑time availability
