Location: New York

Our client, a high-end residential interior design firm based in NYC, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented design professional to join their collaborative team. This individual will play a key role in managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring seamless execution while upholding the firm’s renowned reputation and distinctive brand. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and a self-starter with exceptional interpersonal skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of project management from concept through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
  • Supervise installations with exacting attention to detail, managing vendors and suppliers to meet all deliverables and deadlines
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication, thoughtful engagement, and exceeding expectations
  • Execute the founder’s design vision with precision, while contributing technical expertise
  • Source FF+E including furniture, window treatments, fabrics, wall coverings, lighting, flooring, and accessories
  • Create polished client presentations and digital design boards that clearly communicate design intent
  • Schedule and attend client meetings, site visits, and design reviews, maintaining detailed records of all decisions
  • Represent the firm professionally in meetings with architects, contractors, and vendors
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues with clients, vendors, and contractors through effective communication
  • Troubleshoot complex challenges with resourcefulness and efficiency
  • Foster a collaborative team environment while delegating tasks clearly and effectively
Requirements
  • Experience in a residential interior design firm
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from inception to completion
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proactive, self-starter mindset with a strong work ethic and “can-do” attitude
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, team members, and vendors
  • Knowledge of high-end vendor and supplier markets, with established relationships preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/CAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and maintain high-quality standards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all professional settings
  • Degree in Interior Design or a related field preferred
