Our client, a high-end residential interior design firm based in NYC, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented design professional to join their collaborative team. This individual will play a key role in managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring seamless execution while upholding the firm’s renowned reputation and distinctive brand. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and a self-starter with exceptional interpersonal skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of project management from concept through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Supervise installations with exacting attention to detail, managing vendors and suppliers to meet all deliverables and deadlines
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication, thoughtful engagement, and exceeding expectations
- Execute the founder’s design vision with precision, while contributing technical expertise
- Source FF+E including furniture, window treatments, fabrics, wall coverings, lighting, flooring, and accessories
- Create polished client presentations and digital design boards that clearly communicate design intent
- Schedule and attend client meetings, site visits, and design reviews, maintaining detailed records of all decisions
- Represent the firm professionally in meetings with architects, contractors, and vendors
- Proactively identify and resolve issues with clients, vendors, and contractors through effective communication
- Troubleshoot complex challenges with resourcefulness and efficiency
- Foster a collaborative team environment while delegating tasks clearly and effectively
- Experience in a residential interior design firm
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from inception to completion
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proactive, self-starter mindset with a strong work ethic and “can-do” attitude
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, team members, and vendors
- Knowledge of high-end vendor and supplier markets, with established relationships preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/CAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and maintain high-quality standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all professional settings
- Degree in Interior Design or a related field preferred
