Location: New York

Description

Senior Architect will lead project teams to create world‑class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments in a variety of project types including corporate, healthcare, sport venues, data centers, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities. They will guide the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting architectural plans according to budget constraints, environmental factors, or client needs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead architectural design from conceptual phase through completion.
  • Develop, modify, and review production drawings for various facilities.
  • Participate in the development of project schedule, scope, budget, staffing, and construction planning; manage change orders.
  • Apply expert knowledge of architectural concepts, codes, and procedures; compile studies and reports; write specifications.
  • Develop non‑standard design solutions for complex projects.
  • Quality review production drawings and construction administration for design compliance and constructability.
  • Lead field inspections, installations, measurements, and calculations.
  • Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications.
  • Build relationships with clients, contractors, and customers; pursue new business opportunities.
  • Lead cost proposals, qualification statements, budgets, and cost estimates; report project performance.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and instruction to less experienced staff.
  • Ensure QA/QC adherence and safety policy compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an NAAB‑accredited program and ≥8 years related experience (or Master’s degree with ≥7 years).
  • Registered architect preferred.
  • Portfolio demonstrating design and graphic presentation skills.
  • Expert knowledge of building codes, ADA standards, envelope design, technical detailing, and specification writing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaborative, critical‑thinking, facilitation, and organization skills.
  • Expert software skills: BIM (Revit), Adobe Creative Suite, 3D rendering.
  • Experience leading design teams on large, complex projects.
  • Experience conducting quality reviews of architectural documentation.
  • Experience with construction phase activities: site visits, shop drawing review, contractor correspondence.
  • Ability to travel.
Compensation

Annual salary range: $ – $, plus base salary and eligibility for a discretionary year‑end incentive bonus program.
