We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Designer to join our Women's Activewear team. Reporting to the Design Manager, you'll play a key role in bringing innovative, market-driven concepts to life for a global active wear brand and its key retail partners.
Responsibilities- Research seasonal trends, fabrics, colors, prints, silhouettes, and emerging ideas through online resources, market shopping, trade shows, and competitive analysis.
- Partner closely with the Design Manager to develop innovative product concepts aligned with brand direction and customer needs.
- Create technical sketches, specifications, and detailed tech packs to support product development and production.
- Develop color CADs, mood boards, and compelling design presentations for internal reviews and customer meetings.
- Communicate with overseas factories throughout the development process to ensure accurate execution and timely follow-up.
- Attend fittings, review samples, and help refine product details to maintain the original design vision and performance standards.
- Review and provide feedback on lab dips, strike-offs, bulk fabrics, and trim submissions.
- Source and organize seasonal fabric swatches and trims.
- Prepare samples and presentation materials for internal and external meetings.
- Create and maintain seasonal color cards and other design tools that support the team throughout the development cycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and provide support to the broader design, sales, and production teams on special projects and initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in the fashion industry, ideally within active wear, performance apparel, or sportswear.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is required.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to ask questions, share ideas, receive feedback, and adapt quickly.
- A collaborative, team-first mindset and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
- Passion for active wear and performance apparel is a plus.

- This is a full-time, in-person position based in our New York office, five days a week.
