Job Title: Associate Technical Designer
Report to: Technical Design or Senior Technical Designer
Primary
Purpose:
The Associate Technical Designer assists the design team in all aspects of the design process and provides support as needed. They work with Design, Product Development, and Merchandising teams to meet deadlines for creating and passing product specs for all stages of development from concept through production.
- Work with Design, PD, and Merchandising teams to understand deliverables and meet deadlines for creating and passing product specs for all stages of development from concept through production.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure all specs created reflect the designers’ intentions and that all information captured in specs is accurate.
- Assist the Technical Designer & Senior Technical Designer in executing final product spec updates and corrections for the season, ensuring any changes to the product after market are approved by the design team.
- Ensure product specs are consistent across all factories and all seasons.
- Review and correct post‑market samples.
- Create and maintain digital design detail & standards libraries.
- Research product functionality trends across the market.
- Create CAD & artwork in Illustrator & Photoshop as needed.
- Strong communication and email skills.
- Detailed note‑taking and organizational skills.
- Construction knowledge preferred.
- Flexibility to work in‑office, as needed, based on development calendar.
- Minimum 2‑4 years experience.
- College degree in fashion design or a related field.
- Illustrator and Photoshop experience required.
- Experience with Substance 3D, Raspberry AI, Adobe Firefly AI, or other product design AI, a plus.
- Microsoft Excel experience, a plus.
$64,350.00 - $78,700.00
