We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Project Architect to join our team. The Project Architect will be responsible for leading the technical development and coordination of architectural projects from design development through construction administration. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal project teams.
Responsibilities- Lead the technical development and documentation of architectural projects through all phases of design and construction.
- Coordinate project teams, including consultants, engineers, and specialty vendors.
- Prepare, review, and oversee construction documents to ensure quality, accuracy, and code compliance.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and design teams to maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Conduct quality control reviews and ensure adherence to firm standards.
- Coordinate permitting and regulatory approval processes.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed.
- Respond to contractor RFIs, review submittals, and assist with construction administration activities.
- Mentor and support junior staff members.
- Resolve technical and design challenges while maintaining project goals and design intent.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and industry standards.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- Licensed Architect preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure will also be considered
- 8–15 years of professional architectural experience
- Proficiency in Revit required
- Strong knowledge of building systems, construction detailing, and coordination practices
- Experience producing and coordinating construction documents
- Understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Experience with commercial, multifamily, hospitality, workplace, mixed-use, or institutional projects
- Construction administration experience
- Familiarity with BIM coordination and consultant management
- LEED accreditation or sustainable design experience is a plus
