Architect​/Architectural Designer

RESOLUTION: 4 ARCHITECTURE is seeking an Architect / Architectural Designer to join our New York City studio.

We are a small, design-focused practice specializing in modern residential architecture, with work spanning custom homes, renovations, multifamily development, and site planning, with a preeminent specialization in modular and prefabricated construction methods. Our team works across all phases of design and construction.

We are looking for a thoughtful, resourceful individual who is eager to take ownership of meaningful work and contribute to all aspects of project delivery. Because of our size, team members gain broad exposure and responsibility as quickly as they demonstrate ability, participating in projects from schematic design through construction administration.

Licensed architects, professionals pursuing licensure, and exceptional recent graduates are encouraged to apply. While professional experience is valued, we are ultimately seeking candidates who demonstrate strong judgment, initiative, technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high‑quality work.

• Design studies and project development
• Construction documentation and detailing
• Consultant coordination
• Specifications, product, and assemblies research
• Graphic presentations, visual communication, modeling, and rendering
• Project budgeting, scheduling, and bid coordination and analysis
• Construction administration, modular fabrication, and field coordination

• Strong design, graphic, verbal, and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to produce clear, well‑organized construction documents and technical drawings, working under direction on construction details and assemblies, with high graphic standards, including intentional line weights, clear annotations, and well‑composed sheet layouts.
• Rigorous attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
• Resourceful, organized, collaborative, and self‑motivated
• Interest in construction, detailing, and building technology
• Ability to receive feedback, critically evaluate your own work, and continuously improve
• Proficiency in architectural drafting and modeling software; familiarity with MacOS, Vectorworks, and Sketch Up is beneficial but not required.
• Fundamental grasp of Microsoft and Adobe suites.

The firm's work has been widely published and is recognized for its integration of modern design, construction innovation, and modular building methodologies.
