Senior Transit Architect

STV, a leading transportation and infrastructure company, is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Senior Transit Architect to join our team in the heart of New York, NY. In this role, you will work on innovative projects that will shape the future of transportation.

Key responsibilities include working with an architectural/engineering team in preparing documents for transportation projects, performing design phases, supervising plan execution, analyzing design and construction systems, conducting inspections, and overseeing program execution along with coordination with multiple disciplines.

Required Experience
  • Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as a project architect in the rail/transit sector.
  • Transit Architecture design experience including stations and related facilities.
  • Registered Licensed Architect in the State of New York.
  • Experience in the transportation sector.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Open Buildings, Rhino, 3‑D Max, Sketch‑up (plus) and LEED Accreditation (plus).
  • Excellent design, technical detailing, and presentation skills.
  • A self‑starter with problem‑solving passion and client focus.
Essential Duties
  • Determine technical approach and design criteria with multiple disciplines.
  • Lead and coach architectural staff.
  • Perform independent investigations, studies, and architectural analysis.
  • Develop design details, plans and specifications.
  • Serve as quality control reviewer.
  • Use computer software as a design tool.
  • Contribute new designs or techniques of material significance.
  • Stay current in applicable codes and technologies.
  • Ensure conformance with standards, practices, codes.
  • Review shop drawings and RFIs.
