Junior Architect in nyc

Lara Apelian Studio seeks a skilled Junior Architect with min. 3 years of experience to join our firm in New York City. You may be a good candidate if you are motivated, a proven leader and collaborator, detail oriented and highly committed to design excellence.

We are a design-oriented architecture and interiors firm, looking for talented candidates to join our team to work on residential projects in NYC and the tri-state area.

• Work closely with a Senior Architect in the development of a project from schematic design through end of construction.
• Draft architectural drawings for SD, DD and CD Phases.
• Material research and technical detailing
• Attend client planning calls and take meeting notes
• Attending site visits and meetings with Senior Architect
• Coordinate consultant teams

• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience, including at least 1 year in a project leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience with high-end residential projects (townhouses and custom homes strongly preferred). NYC construction drawing set experience is a plus.
• Strong command of design development, technical detailing, and construction documentation.
• Proficiency and experience in consultant coordination
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Deep understanding and curiosity of materials and construction systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining design and technical rigor.
