CAD Designer

Our client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to support the design team across home textile categories, developing artwork from concept through production-ready execution. This role is responsible for creating surface designs, print repeats, colorways, and presentation materials while partnering closely with design, product development, and sourcing teams. The ideal candidate combines strong technical CAD expertise with a creative eye for surface ornamentation, exceptional organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Create and develop artwork across various forms of surface ornamentation, including prints, woven patterns, textures, and embroidery.
• Develop full-scale print repeats, engineered layouts, and colorway variations across multiple product categories.
• Prepare production-ready artwork packages for handoff to product development and sourcing teams, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand standards.
• Create 2D and 3D planograms, mockups, and presentation materials to support design reviews, sales meetings, category reviews, and customer presentations.
• Translate design concepts into compelling visual assets that effectively communicate product direction.
• Utilize CAD and design software to create, modify, and refine artwork efficiently.
• Leverage AI-assisted design tools to streamline repeat creation, colorway development, and layout exploration.
• Maintain organized digital files, artwork libraries, and documentation in accordance with team standards.
• Partner closely with Design Directors and the broader design team to execute creative direction and brand objectives.
• Collaborate with product development and sourcing teams to ensure artwork specifications are complete, accurate, and production-ready.
• Participate in design reviews and provide creative and technical support throughout the product development process.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Surface Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in textile, surface, or print design, preferably within home textiles or home furnishings.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience with textile CAD software such as Ned Graphics, Lectra Kaledo (Print, Weave, or Knit), Pointcarré, Pro Spec, EAT, Wilcom, AVA CAD/CAM, or similar platforms.
• Experience creating 2D and 3D mockups using tools such as Adobe Dimension, Browzwear, Sketch Up, or related software.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of print development, woven constructions, textures, embroidery, and surface design techniques.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, production-ready artwork.
