Senior Designer- Juniors

Established in 2005, client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of women's, juniors and kids fashion apparel, specializing in dresses, sportswear, and sleepwear. As a Senior Designer, you'll translate creative visions into practical designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior designers. You'll be responsible for developing designs that align with our brand aesthetic, quality standards, and customer preferences.

• 10-12 years of design experience (mass market/off-price sector experience preferred)
• Bachelor s Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite
• PLM system experience (preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication abilities/presentation skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Ability to travel if required to conduct market research and/or client meetings

• Collaborating with the Design Manager to conduct research and report on industry trends, & color direction, and fabric innovations that can relate to the company’s target customer
• Presenting ideas to the management through sketching, presentation boards, design development and details that translate and reflect brand identity
• Staying updated with latest fashion trends, colors, fabrications and innovations related to the junior’s market
• Interpreting specific color palettes, patterns, and prints for the season, selecting and approving styles, materials, trims, and colors
• Reviewing and comment on lab dips, and strike-offs for styles in production
• Leading fit session with Tech Design throughout the season, ensuring clear communication, and alignment on fit standards.
• Reacting to current product selling performance based on customer feedback and sales results, incorporating learnings into the future design
• Communicating with buyers, and overseas vendors to ensure flawless execution of design concepts
