Junior Architect; Staten , NY

Architectural firm located in Staten Island, New York, seeking a Junior Architect for various project types. Giuseppe Bonomo Architecture is poised to grow, and this position would be a key pillar in helping to drive that growth.

The office is located within one block of the Staten Island Rapid Transit and bus stop. (This is an in-person position. If you cannot be physically in the office, please do not apply.)

Prospective applicants should be organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task between different projects.

Architectural production drawing candidate with a minimum of 3 years of recent experience with wood frame construction.

Must be experienced with filing applications at the Department of Environmental Protection for House and Site Connections, Cross Connection Control Unit, Department of Transportation for Builders Pavement Plans, and Department of Parks and Recreation for tree planting.

• C.A.D. drafting experience.
• Residential and wood frame construction drawing experience, a must.
• Exceptional drawing and graphic skills.
• Working knowledge of NYC Department of Buildings procedure.
• Well organized and able to interact with clients.
• Prospective applicants should be self‑motivated, well‑rounded, and capable of multi‑tasking across projects with minimal supervision.

• Access to a form of transportation.
• Type II Filing Representative license with the DOB, or willingness to acquire license.
• Fluency with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Revit, Google Sketch Up or some version of computer‑aided rendering, and all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Construction field background.
• Ability to site survey.
• Well‑spoken with clear and effective writing skills.
• Hand drafting origins and training.

• A minimum of 1–2 years of work experience in an architectural office setting or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree is recommended.

• Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
• Firm will provide a medical stipend or coverage plan option.

• This is a full‑time, in‑person position in Staten Island, NY.
• Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• P.T.O. offered to full‑time employees.
