Director Mens Design Retail (Onsite New York, NY)
We are seeking a Director Men's Design for one of our global retail client. The focus of the role is to lead the Men's Design team (2 direct reports) and develop brand‑right, value products that translate into optimized commercial products delivered to customers.
This is a 40‑hour per week, 6‑month contract (extensions possible), 100% onsite role at the client’s office in New York, NY. This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.
Responsibilities- The Director will be responsible for leading the Mens Design team (2 direct reports) and developing brand‑right, value product that translates into optimized commercial product delivered to customers.
- Ensure product aesthetic, product quality, and costs are consistent with Brand image and target customers while maintaining financial performance of Design.
- The scope of responsibility in this role is over all categories and requires heavy cross‑functional collaboration amongst CAD and Graphic Design, Merchandising and Production Partners.
- 10+ years of experience leading design teams and driving creative direction for men's product categories.
- Ability to develop brand‑right products from concept through commercialization while meeting customer and business needs.
- Strong partnership with Merchandising, Production, CAD, and Graphic Design teams to execute product strategies.
- Ensure product aesthetics, quality standards, and cost targets align with brand objectives and financial goals.
- Experience managing and mentoring designers, making business-driven design decisions, and overseeing multiple product categories.
$70/hr - $73/hr.
