Early Career Architect – New York City (NY, NY)
Location: New York City, New York
Position: Full‑time
Overview: The Transportation Facilities Group (TFG) leads and designs projects that support local and regional growth initiatives through transportation. This Early Career Architect role offers varied transit projects across the NY Metro Region, working under a senior architect on rail, bus, airport, and hub projects for clients such as NYCT, MTA Bus, LIRR, MNR, PANY & NJ, Amtrak, NYC SCA, and local utilities.
Responsibilities- Develop architectural drawings and specifications, including renderings and presentation boards.
- Ensure code compliance for new construction and renovations of transportation‑related facilities.
- Perform local and/or regional site inspections and investigations.
- Attend meetings and coordinate project activities.
- Exercise responsible decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a related field;
Master’s in Architecture preferred. - 0–1 year of post‑education experience.
- Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.
- Understanding of NY State and NYC building codes.
- Knowledge of construction drawing standards.
- Proficient with architectural tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, Microstation, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented with an emphasis on quality.
- Immediate eligibility to work in the United States.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to WSP’s health, safety, and anti‑discrimination policies.
- Recent graduate from an accredited Architecture program (undergraduate or graduate).
- 0–3 years of internship experience in Architecture.
- Experience using Revit, AutoCAD and/or Microstation Software.

Expected Salary: $72,700 – $90,900.
