Location: New York

We are seeking a creative, trend-driven Kid's Sleep/Swim Designer to join a dynamic design team. This individual will play a key role in bringing innovative, brand‑right product to life from concept through final production. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for color, print, silhouette, and detail, along with the technical expertise needed to translate ideas into compelling, production‑ready designs.

This role requires a highly collaborative designer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can partner effectively with cross‑functional teams to deliver cohesive seasonal assortments that meet aesthetic, quality, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and design original, trend‑right apparel that aligns with brand identity and seasonal direction.
  • Develop sketches, technical flats, and design packages with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Create and maintain BOMs, trim pages, and supporting tech pack information to ensure smooth development and production handoff.
  • Research market trends, consumer preferences, color direction, and competitive landscape to inform design strategy.
  • Source fabrics, trims, prints, graphics, and embellishments that support the overall product vision.
  • Participate in fit sessions and collaborate with technical design to refine fit, construction, and overall product execution.
  • Partner closely with merchandising, production, and other internal teams to ensure products are delivered on time and within target cost parameters.
  • Contribute to seasonal presentations, line reviews, and other design team initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Relevant apparel design experience, within children swear.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrication, and the product development process.
  • Strong creative sensibility with a keen eye for trend, color, print, and proportion.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a deadline‑driven environment.
