A well-established architecture and interior design firm on Long Island is seeking Project Architects with 10+ years of experience to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to lead projects from concept through construction while working on a diverse portfolio that includes education, libraries, municipal/public works, multifamily residential, commercial, hospitality, and interior architecture.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on architect who enjoys balancing technical execution, project coordination, and client interaction within a collaborative studio environment.
Responsibilities- Lead projects through all phases, from schematic design through construction administration
- Produce and coordinate permit and construction document sets
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Manage NYS permitting processes (NYSED experience preferred)
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals
- Conduct site visits, construction meetings, and field observations
- Perform QA/QC reviews and redline project documentation
- Research materials and coordinate with product vendors
- Mentor and collaborate with project team members throughout the design process
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture (or related field)
- 10+ years of professional architectural experience
- Experience managing projects from concept through construction
- Strong construction documentation and detailing experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Knowledge of NYS Building Codes and ADA requirements
- Experience with NYSED permitting is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a collaborative environment
