READ THIS FIRSTThis is not a clip-and-caption gig, and it is not a slow, one-video-a-week role. This is a direct-response video editor seat inside a fast-moving, high-standards digital marketing agency. The volume is real, the standard is higher, and the work moves fast.
If you want a calm, low-output editing job, this is not it. Close the tab. No hard feelings, there are good roles like that elsewhere.
If you want to own the video output of a brand that is scaling hard, ship a high volume of organic content and Facebook ad creative, work directly with the founder, and grow into running a team, keep reading.
WHO WE AREWe’re a digital marketing agency that works exclusively with exterior cleaning businesses (pressure washing, soft washing, window cleaning). We’re at $1.2M in revenue, 150 active clients, and retention sits at 98 to 99%. We built that by being obsessively good at one niche.
This role is not client work. You’d be editing our own brand: our You Tube channel, our shorts and reels, and the Facebook ad creative we run to grow the agency itself. We’re going hard on content and paid ads this year, and you’re the person who turns our raw recordings into everything we publish and everything we run.
The founder works directly with you, especially in the first few months. Real feedback on real edits, direction on style, and a fast loop so you ramp quickly. We want someone energized by that, not someone waiting for a finished playbook.
WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO- Cut 4 long‑form You Tube videos a month from batch recordings and client calls.
- Pull 3 to 6 shorts from each long‑form for You Tube Shorts and Facebook Reels, roughly 12 to 24 a month.
- Build 10 to 30 Facebook ad creatives a month, including spinning up 15 to 20 variations of a single winning concept with different hooks, lengths, and CTAs.
- Export every asset in the correct format: 9:16 for shorts and reels, 1:1 and 4:5 for feed ads, 16:9 for long‑form.
- Mine long recordings yourself (client calls, batch sessions) and find the best moments without being handed timestamps.
- Write and place on‑screen text and captions that are clean, correctly spelled, and on‑brand.
- Build motion graphics, animated captions, pattern interrupts, and sound design that hold attention.
- Keep raw and finished assets organized so nothing gets lost.
- Obsessive attention to detail. This is the number one trait, no exceptions. Captions spelled correctly, clean cuts, exports right the first time. If typos and sloppy text make it into your work, you will not last here.
- Real direct‑response instinct. You know a hook has to land in the first three seconds, and you can build many strong versions of one idea instead of one and done.
- Generalist range across the major editors (Premiere, DaVinci, Cap Cut, Final Cut) plus real motion graphics, not just basic captions. We want the best, not the average.
- Written English strong enough to caption accurately and write and place English hooks. Spelling is not negotiable.
- High drive and self‑direction. You move fast, you ship, and you don’t need to be told what to do every hour.
- Coachable on long‑form. You may be stronger in short‑form and ads, and that’s fine. We’ll build the long‑form skill with you.
- Fluent with AI editing tools. You use them to move faster and produce more, as a multiplier, not a crutch.
Being honest because it saves us both time:
- People who let typos and sloppy captions slip through.
- People who need a detailed brief for every small decision.
- People who can only do one format or one style well.
- People who get defensive or shut down when given direct feedback or a second revision.
- People whose reel looks polished but who can’t reproduce that quality fast and at volume.
- People looking for low output and a slow pace.
