Position: Product Designer II, Growth - Retention
Location: New York

Your New Role

As a Product Designer II, you are a member of the world‑class CNN Digital Product Design Team responsible for creating industry‑leading user experiences engaged by millions around the globe.

Your Role Accountabilities
  • Executes across all phases of the design process from conception to implementation, including wire‑framing, prototyping, and visual design.
  • Helps drive large‑scale, highly strategic projects that are deemed business critical.
  • Contributes to a clear vision for the future of design and demonstrates ability to implement forward‑thinking design.
  • Transforms ideas and concepts into visually tangible flows and plans.
  • Delivers polished visuals based on strong design fundamentals.
  • Understands the intersection of product design in a media organization with business goals.
  • Builds collaborative relationships with internal stakeholder leads (Product Management, Engineering, Editorial, Revenue etc.) to ensure consistency with broader company goals.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding and implementation of internal design process.
  • Actively contributes to providing thoughtful solutions to complex design problems.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Design portfolio demonstrating strong UX and visual design solutions, with emphasis on identifying and meaningfully solving true user problems.
  • 2+ years professional experience as a Product Designer.
  • Mastery in Figma UX software and prototyping.
  • Foundational understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • Exceptional track record executing product design strategy and partnering with cross‑functional team members.
  • Experience building world‑class product experiences, streamlining workflows with continuous iteration and improvement.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to drive user experience design, including usability principles, user research methodology, testing techniques (A/B, multi‑variant), design theory, and interaction design.
  • Bachelor's degree in design, human‑computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeve and get things done.
  • Take smart risks and champion new ideas.
  • Experience with news environments and content publishing is a plus.

Compensation

& Benefits

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $88,900.00 - $ salary per year.

Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short‑and long‑term incentives, and program‑specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
