Are you a movement maker? Are you seeking new and exciting career opportunities? This role enables you to support the Senior Design Director and Product Development team in the seasonal design development process, from concept to delivery for major retailers.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Design Director and product development team through the seasonal design development process, from concept to delivery for major retailers.
  • Create trend‑appropriate design concepts that meet retailer needs and drive sales.
  • Design and produce CAD artwork, sketches and Illustrator illustrations appropriate for the customer.
  • Collaborate with yarn mills, sample rooms and factories to develop cost‑effective samples/knitdowns.
  • Coordinate the timely execution of each stage of the design development process and maintain strong relationships with factories, suppliers, and the Hong Kong Design, Product Development and Merchandising teams.
  • Conduct preliminary design research, including competitive analysis, pull yarns, develop concepts, and assemble presentation boards for meetings.
  • Prepare mockups, color‑ups, inspirational photos, and CADs for presentations.
  • Identify suitable yarns and order them seasonally for sample development.
  • Perform seasonal yarn/knit down development and continuously conduct market research to identify key trends from runway, aspirational benchmarks, and retail in Europe and the USA.
  • Design according to style plans, sales needs and emerging trends; ensure timely execution of the product development calendar.
  • Build and maintain the seasonal calendar with the team, and create Illustrator sketches, specification sheets, and line sheets, updating them as necessary.
  • Ensure accuracy of product development logs, line sheets, boards and design archives, and maintain designs in shared drives.
  • Research and coordinate raw materials and trims, maintain fabric/trim libraries, review lab dips, prints and graphics, and advise on revisions to maintain color standards.
  • Initiate and complete tech packs and layouts for all styles within given deadlines.
  • Follow up with internal and external customers and partners, facilitate interoffice communication, and present to clients with clear, cohesive line presentations for sales and customers.
  • Build collaborative relationships with vendors and internal customers, contributing positively to team dynamics and managing up when necessary.
  • Share product, yarn and innovation insights with co‑designers in other teams and build presentation skills.
Qualifications
  • Strong graphic design skills in Adobe, with the ability to create motifs and patterns relevant for the customer.
  • Exceptional creativity, innovation and an ability to stay up to date with trends.
  • Superior organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a team‑oriented mindset.
  • Ability to multi‑task, meet deadlines, and manage detail orientation and meticulousness.
  • Knowledge of knitwear design, construction, stitch, yarn, and silhouettes.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design.
  • 2–3 years of experience in knitwear design.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, CAD and Mac computers.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Annual base salary range: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00, varying based on role requirements and experience.
