Senior Vice President, Product Designer
We are seeking a Senior Vice President, Product Designer to join our Wealth Services team in New York, NY. This senior leadership role will guide complex user experience activities, oversee design strategy, and mentor junior designers across the organization.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise for complex user experience activities, including user research, testing, interactive design, and visual design.
- Review documentation of research findings and new or modified user personas presented to product and development teams.
- Lead the creation of concepts, information architecture, UI designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules.
- Synthesize information across multiple factors and build expertise while applying company policies and procedures.
- Give design feedback, and build effective relationships with team members and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Mentor and train junior designers and participate in team processes and organization practices.
- Advocate for the user experience across the firm as a strong communicator.
- Operate within a studio‑centric model, exercising discretion and executing under limited supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, user experience, design, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- 10-12 years of experience required.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

CompensationBNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary will be determined individually based on experience and market location, and is only part of the total compensation package, which may include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short- and long-term incentive packages, and company-sponsored benefit programs.
