Senior Home Textiles Designer – New York, NY
Full-Time, In-Office, five days per week
This is a senior-level design role with a home textiles company producing seasonal bedding and soft home assortments. The position is fully in-office and suited for a designer with deep experience in print development, soft-goods construction, and end-to-end product execution from concept through factory-ready delivery.
Schedule- Monday through Friday, in-office five days per week.
$80,000 - $115,000 Per Year
What You'll DoThis role is responsible for designing seasonal assortments across bedding and soft home categories, including throws and decorative accessories. Day-to-day work includes creating CADs, repeats, engineered placements, and colorways using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Pointcarre. The designer develops trims, textures, embellishments, and construction details that align with seasonal direction and retail price points.
A significant portion of the role involves translating creative work into factory-ready artwork and complete tech packs. You will review and approve samples, strike-offs, and lab dips at various stages of development, providing clear and actionable feedback. You will work closely with design, sales, sourcing, and production teams across multiple brand projects simultaneously, managing timelines and deliverables across a concurrent project load.
Required Qualifications- 8 or more years of product, textile, or home design experience with a focus on bedding and soft home goods
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Pointcarre
- Demonstrated experience producing production-ready artwork and repeat patterns
- Strong working knowledge of soft-goods construction, fabrication, and finishing techniques
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent brand projects with competing deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to construction and colorway detail
- Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners and direct factory communication
- Familiarity with licensing or private-label programs
- Background designing across multiple distribution channels (mass, mid-tier, specialty retail)
- Experience with trend forecasting tools or seasonal concept development
