Design Intern

UST is searching for a designer skilled across multiple facets of the design process including storytelling, AI workflows, interaction, and visual design, with an understanding of research and strategy.

• Conduct and support generative and evaluative user research.
• Create personas, user journeys, and service blueprints.
• Develop wireframes, interaction flows, and clickable prototypes.
• Design high‑fidelity UI aligned with brand guidelines and design systems.
• Synthesize research insights into actionable recommendations.
• Present design concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other designers and engineers to align vision and execution.

• UX research methods (interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry).
• UX design (AI prototyping, IA, interaction design).
• Visual/UI design (layout, color, typography, accessibility).
• Tools:
  Figma, Notion, and emerging AI tools.
• Communication storytelling, design rationale, and documentation.
• Systems thinking and adaptability in cross‑functional teams.

Remote-US

$20–24 per hour

Full‑time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave per year (pro‑rated for new hires), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
