You Will

  • Create scaled digital artwork renderings in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for custom rug requests, including full-rug layouts, strike-off renderings, and room placements when necessary
  • Translate client specifications — colorways, pattern modifications, size changes, and construction details — into production-ready artwork files
  • Support revision cycles through to client sign-off, maintaining an organized archive of all artwork versions

Custom Rug Consultation

  • Support account managers with information on custom feasibility, including construction options, fiber selection, sizing, and lead times
  • Assist with colorway development and material selection based on project requirements
  • Review client feedback on samples and strike-offs and support the approvals process through to production release

Order Placement

  • Assist in placing and processing custom orders with overseas mills, ensuring all specifications are accurately documented
  • Track orders through production milestones and flag any delays or discrepancies to senior team members
  • Coordinate sample and strike-off shipments between suppliers, showrooms, and workrooms

Overseas Supplier Communication

  • Communicate technical specifications and artwork files clearly and accurately to mill teams
  • Support positive supplier relationships to help ensure efficient production, quality consistency, and timely delivery
  • Help troubleshoot production and quality issues, escalating to senior team members where necessary
You Are/Have
  • Some experience or strong interest in custom rug or textile production, with familiarity with construction types including but not limited to hand-knotted, hand-tufted, flatweave
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent artwork software
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent requests
  • Clear, professional communicator — comfortable working with account managers and overseas suppliers
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • A genuine appreciation for design quality and craftsmanship
