Role Description
This is an unpaid, educational opportunity for a Fashion Design Intern based in New York City. We are looking for an intern to start immediately. The intern will be expected to come in at least three/four days a week and support tasks related to visual design, design thinking, user research, product design, and collection development. Candidates should have a strong foundation in these areas and a genuine interest in contributing to the design process while learning more about the fashion industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute design concepts for various projects, including print, digital, and branding initiatives.
- Responsible for creating detailed tech packs.
- Create mockups, prototypes, and presentations to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging design technologies to ensure our work remains fresh and relevant.
- Revise designs based on feedback from clients and team members, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Maintain organized files and documentation of design work for future reference.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Excel)
