CET Designer

This is a rare opportunity for you to make a real impact in a Contract Furniture firm, whilst being involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle within an adult environment where you are trusted to self‑manage.

As a designer you will be responsible for the planning and development of the design phases of a project, including the creation of furniture and finishes selections, typicals, floorplan layouts, budgeting, specifications, and installation drawings.

• Meeting clients with a salesperson to determine the scope of work.
• Assist clients in furniture selection and creation of appropriate typicals.
• Develop and deliver the overall design of systems and case‑goods furniture packages, space planning, CET drawings (plans, elevations, and renderings), and specifications.
• Audit the specification of the product specified for accuracy.
• Provide complete installation drawings as required.
• Review plan for areas where there are critical dimensions and provide information to Project Management as required to assist with taking field measurements.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry products, methods, and design trends.

• Bachelor’s degree in design or related field or relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 4 years design experience, along with contract furniture experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD & Configura/CET Designer software.
• Understanding of systems furniture and knowledge of space planning and code requirements.
• Understanding of architectural, construction, and furniture plans.
