We are looking for a creative, hands‑on interior designer who can transform our furniture collections into inspiring, shoppable room settings that bring our products to life.
Role DescriptionMeridian is seeking a full-time In‑House Interior Designer to support the design, styling, and ongoing development of our showrooms across the United States.
This role is ideal for a designer with a strong eye for interiors, styling, and presentation. The primary focus of this position will be designing vignettes, room settings, and merchandising displays that highlight Meridian’s latest collections in a way that feels elevated, trend-forward, and appealing.
The designer will develop concepts, create layouts, select furniture and finishes, support showroom installations, and collaborate with internal teams across product development, sales, marketing, and leadership. This role will also require travel throughout the year to support tradeshow presentations and installations, helping create memorable environments that showcase new products and strengthen the Meridian brand experience.
The In‑House Interior Designer will also travel on-site to support the design and transformation of Meridian’s showrooms for major industry trade shows throughout the year, assisting with space planning, product placement, staging, styling, and seasonal or collection-based updates. This role will translate design concepts into floor plans, mood boards, drawings, specifications, and presentations for internal review while considering materials, scale, functionality, feasibility, and product storytelling.
The designer will stay current on interior design, furniture, retail, visual merchandising, and home décor trends, sharing insights that support showroom design, product presentation, marketing initiatives, and a consistent brand presence across showroom, tradeshow, and marketing touchpoints.
- Strong interior design, styling and space planning skills.
- Experience creating room layouts, showroom vignettes, merchandising displays, or styled interiors.
- Knowledge of construction drawings, architectural plans, or showroom buildouts is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Photoshop required; experience with Revit, Sketch Up, or similar design software is a plus.
- Strong awareness of current and emerging interior design and furniture trends.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and showroom updates in a fast‑paced environment.
- Degree or formal training in Interior Design, Visual Merchandising, Exhibition Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- A strong design portfolio showcasing creativity, technical ability, and interior styling expertise is required.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the year for trade shows, showroom installations, and related showroom updates.

- Travel required throughout the year, including to High Point, NC and Las Vegas, NV for trade shows.
- Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year
