Job Overview

Our client, a contemporary lifestyle apparel brand, is looking for an Assistant Apparel Designer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, detail-oriented designer with a passion for active wear, athleisure, and lifestyle apparel to support the design process from concept through production. In this role, you'll work closely with the Founder and Design team to bring innovative, trend-driven collections to life while gaining hands‑on experience across all stages of the product development process.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of active and lifestyle apparel collections from concept through production
  • Create and update technical flats, CADs, and presentation boards using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Conduct trend, market, and competitive research to identify new opportunities in active wear and lifestyle apparel
  • Support the development of fabrics, trims, colors, prints, and seasonal assortments
  • Prepare and maintain tech packs, BOMs, and product specifications
  • Participate in fittings by taking notes, tracking revisions, and updating design documents
  • Organize seasonal development materials, samples, and design archives
  • Partner closely with the Founder and Design team throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Assist with seasonal line presentations and assortment reviews
  • Ensure all design deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
  • 1–3 years of apparel design experience, preferably within active wear, athleisure, sportswear, or contemporary lifestyle brands
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience creating technical flats, CADs, and apparel specifications
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrics, trims, and product development
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for active lifestyle, wellness, and performance apparel with a keen eye for emerging trends
