Overview
KZ_K Studio is a modern luxury, design-driven brand. KZ_K features convertible and multi-functional pieces with exacting details and focus, to create an atelier experience with each and every client. The intern for KZ_K would assist the Design Team with the design and product development process in all aspects of producing the main collection cycles and development required to take a sample to a sales‑ready piece.
This internship would allow hands‑on experience within the design studio and garment district with sourcing fabric and trims, working in the sample factories, and understanding standards for luxury‑tailored garments with quality control requirements.
- Mood board and fabric research
- Technical drawings/ flats using Adobe Illustrator
- Assisting the team during development fittings
- Communicating with factories during the product development and sample‑making phase of the design process
- Sourcing trims, materials, and fabrics for the new season
- Support the team on the final collection photoshoot (FW27)
- Assisting the Design team with custom order projects
Current students or recent grads with a major in Fashion Design or Textile design are welcome.
- Should be detail‑oriented and passionate about the luxury industry and high‑end fashion
- Must show technical knowledge of garment construction, finishings, and pattern making
- Demonstrate the ability to work with a sense of urgency, effectively balancing multiple requests and tasks
- Work as a team player and identify when somebody in the team needs support
- Effectively communicate with every team using all methods of internal communication
- Respond positively to constructive feedback & always see it as an opportunity to grow
Ideal Intern has:
- Fashion design experience and development through school or past internships
- Well‑versed understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign and Illustrator)
- Well‑versed in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Minimum 2‑3 days a week
- Internship start:
Late August/September - Daily lunch and transportation are paid for by the company. College credit is possible.
