- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.

- Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
- 2 years of experience leading design projects.
- Experience developing vibecoded prototypes and using AI-enabled workflows throughout the design process.

You will join a multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry‑leading products.
As an Interaction Designer, you will apply user-centered design methods to craft industry‑leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language and build beautiful, innovative products. As a Senior Designer in Ads UI at Google, you will shape the future of some of the most visible elements of users' interactions with Google, driving significant impact for the business.
This work requires taste, attention to detail, and a desire to inform design with data. The Ads UI and Formats team focuses on making useful, beautiful and impactful commercial experiences for search and helps build the evolution of a surface seen billions of times a day.
- Develop user journeys, mockups, prototypes, storyboards, and presentations to effectively communicate design ideas and rapidly iterate on designs based on feedback from users and stakeholders.
- Work with PM partners to strategize and build concise user centric goals and journeys.
- Prototype and evolve experiences using an AI‑enabled workflow.
- Partner with other designers to refine design systems and integrate new features into the evolving products.
- Work with the Engineering team to ensure designs are implemented to spec and collaborate with them to come up with creative design solutions when technical challenges arise.
US: $159,000 - $231,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
