Associate Designer – Active, Lounge or Cut & Sew

Create sketches for development, both hand and in Illustrator (most important).

• Proficient in Illustrator flat sketches
• Strong Photoshop/Illustrator/Indesign skills
• Create CAD presentations for internal and external use with speed and accuracy
• Hands‑on knowledge of the textile market
• Knowledge of fabric and print
• Strong print taste level
• Ability to create print artwork, put in repeat, rescale and recolor
• Conceptualizing from inception to finished product
• Good understanding of fashion trends
• Setting a color story, working with fabric, and coordinating pieces that sit together
• Working with factories to source fabric, trims, and prints for line development
• Correspondence with factories
• Working with technical design and production teams to ensure quality product
• Maintain daily organization and organize all material for design creation
• Created photo packs for buyers and production meetings
• Source fabric, prints and trims for line development
• Created CADs, technical sketches and photographed garments for collection/chase accounts
• Buy, return and prepare samples for buyers
