Primary Responsibilities
ECA is seeking a designer trained in architecture or interior design with experience working in Revit. The successful candidate will initially work with a small ECA team to develop designs and construction drawing sets for apartment, lobby, amenity space, and hallway renovation projects.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and organized, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage their time effectively.
Depending on the candidate’s interests, experience, and professional development, the role may expand to include managing all aspects of a project. The individual may also have opportunities to work with our consulting team, providing peer reviews of apartment alterations in co‑op and condominium buildings on behalf of property managers and Boards.
This position is full-time. ECA offers a flexible work environment, and following the onboarding period, employees may have the opportunity to work remotely for part of the week. Candidates must be located in the New York City area, as periodic site surveys and meetings with clients and contractors will be required.
QualificationsJunior Applicant: A recent graduate or professional with up to three years of experience. Prior residential architecture or interior design experience is helpful but not required.
Mid-Career Applicant: A professional with approximately three to eight years of experience. Experience working on apartment renovations or within Manhattan co‑op and condominium buildings is preferred.
Additional qualifications include:
- Knowledge of residential construction methods, building systems, and applicable building codes
- Construction administration or field experience
- Strong proficiency in Revit
- Experience with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with Enscape, Rhino, and 3D printing
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with digital markup software such as Adobe Acrobat or equivalent

CompensationCompensation is commensurate with experience, with an anticipated salary range of $65,000 to $110,000, plus benefits. A detailed benefits summary will be provided to qualified candidates upon request.
