As a Design Manager, Outerwear (Men's), you will play a key role in translating global design direction into commercially successful outerwear collections for the North American market. You will support seasonal product execution by adapting existing styles, managing product updates, and ensuring design accuracy throughout the product development lifecycle.

Working closely with Merchandising, Technical Design, Product Development, and cross‑functional teams, you will help deliver innovative, high‑quality products that align with brand standards, seasonal timelines, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Design Director in interpreting seasonal concepts, color palettes, and key product direction.
  • Adapt global design direction into market‑ready products for the North American market.
  • Create and illustrate cohesive product groups incorporating solids, stripes, and novelty designs while applying knowledge of color theory, materials, garment construction, and brand identity.
  • Manage multiple seasons simultaneously, balancing in‑season execution with future product development.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to obtain samples, artwork, and costing information while updating designs to meet aesthetic and margin objectives.
  • Create detailed technical drawings for tech packs and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) within PLM (Centric).
  • Manage ongoing design updates and communication with Product Development partners and vendors.
  • Identify opportunities to align fabrics and trims across product channels.
  • Maintain artwork libraries, CAD files, and digital presentation materials while ensuring style and color accuracy.
  • Build and manage digital presentations using visualization tools such as Visulon.
  • Participate in garment fittings and collaborate with Technical Design to ensure fit intent and construction quality.
  • Review and approve lab dips, handlooms, wash panels, pre‑production samples, and colorway submissions.
  • Participate in development and post‑prototype meetings, ensuring feedback is documented, communicated, and executed.
  • Monitor seasonal milestones and proactively resolve development challenges.
  • Prepare and present design boards, seasonal collections, and product reviews to leadership and cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Arts, Design, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in outerwear design.
  • Strong understanding of the apparel design and product development process.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, PLM (Centric), Web PDM, and MIRO.
  • Experience creating technical sketches, CADs, tech packs, and Bills of Materials.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Creative, solution‑oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Advanced apparel design and product development expertise.
  • Strong creative problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities.
