Technical Designer / Job Captain

$85,000 - $105,000 + Benefits
Technical Designer / Job Captain Benefits:- $85,000 - $105,000 salary, based on relevant experience and qualifications

- Participate across all phases of interior design and architectural project delivery.
- Develop and coordinate technical documentation, including construction documents.
- Collaborate with project designers to refine design concepts into buildable solutions.
- Carry out field surveys, review existing interior spaces and support code-compliance evaluation.
- Assist with material, finish, fixture, equipment, hardware and component research and specification.
- Develop reflected ceiling plans, lighting plans and coordinated technical documentation.
- Incorporate audio/video, acoustics, power, data and other technical requirements into design packages.
- Support agency approvals, construction administration, jobsite visits and coordination with consultants, contractors and fabricators.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture or a related discipline.
- 5-8 years of experience on interior design and/or architectural projects.
- Experience with workplace, commercial interiors and tenant improvement projects.
- Knowledge of all phases of interior design or architectural project delivery, including construction administration.
- Strong understanding of detailing, materials, specifications and construction documentation for commercial interiors.
- Knowledge of state and local building and fire codes relating to interior environments, including accessibility.
- Advanced Autodesk Revit, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite skills.
- Office 365, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
Experience:
- Architectural licensure.
- WELL and/or LEED Accreditation.
- Sustainable design experience, ideally with hands‑on LEED and/or WELL project involvement.
- Experience working in a Citrix environment.
- Experience with Mural collaboration platform.
- Hand sketching and conceptual drawing or modeling skills.
Candidates must have legal working status in the U.S. as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
