Assistant Technical Designer, Tailoring

Veronica Beard is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Assistant Technical Designer for tailored garments to partner with Design, Product Development, and Production teams to ensure garments meet fit, construction, and quality standards while maintaining brand integrity. • Measure samples, support Technical Design Team and participate in fit sessions as needed.
• Collaborate with domestic patternmakers and factories to troubleshoot technical issues, ensure accurate execution, and communicate precise fit and construction corrections.
• Assist in evaluating samples to ensure quality and construction standards are executed.
• Track samples and create fit lists weekly, scheduling accurate fit time with model agencies and cross-functional teams.
• Support Technical Design Team to meet calendar milestones and due dates.
• Maintain organization of sample closet & archive.
• Maintain organization of patterns and cutters musts.
• Prepare fit comments, including sketching (flat technical sketches with detail) as needed and analyzing garment construction.
• Responsible for shipping samples to factories.

• Bachelor, Associate, or Technical Degree in Pattern making or/and Technical Design.
• 1-2 years technical design or pattern-making work experience.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and fit principles.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PLM systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Organization and time management skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

The hourly range for this role is between $24.00 and $26.00. The relevant hourly rate will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications.
