RKTB Architects, P.C. is seeking a motivated Junior Architect / Architectural Designer with approximately 3+ years of professional experience to join our collaborative New York Educational studio. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of educational projects, including public school work, and to gain experience in all phases of project delivery, from design through construction administration.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, experience producing construction documents, and an interest in working directly with project teams, consultants, clients, and contractors throughout the construction process.
Responsibilities- Assist with the design and technical development of educational and other institutional projects.
- Prepare and coordinate construction documents in Revit.
- Participate in construction administration activities, including:
- Reviewing RFIs and submittals
- Conducting site visits and field observations
- Preparing field reports and meeting minutes
- Assisting with punch list and project closeout activities
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and contractors.
- Support project teams through all phases of design and construction.
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch. or M.Arch.).
- Minimum 3 years of professional architectural experience.
- Strong technical and documentation skills.
- Experience preparing construction documents and coordinating consultant information.
- Familiarity with construction administration processes, including RFIs, submittals, and site observations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Well-organized, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a collaborative environment.
- NYCSCA experience is highly desirable.
- Rendering and visualization skills are a plus.
- Pursuit of architectural licensure is encouraged.
- Full-time position.
- Salary Range $65,000/yr to $75,000
