Responsibilities
- Lead high-end residential renovation and townhouse projects from concept through construction administration
- Manage project teams, consultants, schedules, and client communication throughout all project phases
- Prepare, coordinate, and oversee filing packages for NYC DOB and LPC approvals
- Develop thoughtful, compelling presentations and communicate design narratives through drawings, imagery, and material palettes
- Coordinate closely with in-house construction and millwork teams to ensure design intent is executed successfully
- Produce and oversee detailed drawing sets, specifications, and construction documentation
- Conduct site visits, resolve field conditions, and collaborate with contractors, fabricators, and consultants
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio culture
- Problem solve proactively and maintain project momentum in a fast-paced NYC environment
- Licensed Architect required
- Minimum 7+ years of professional experience, with significant experience in high-end residential architecture and renovation
- Extensive experience with NYC DOB filings, permitting processes, zoning coordination, and LPC approvals
- Strong technical knowledge of NYC residential renovation detailing, specifications, building systems, and construction methodologies
- Proven construction administration experience and ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, consultants, and build teams
- Experience managing sophisticated high-end residential clients with professionalism, confidence, and discretion
- Exceptional design sensibility with strong graphic, visualization, and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate design concepts and project narratives clearly through imagery, drawings, and presentations
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated, adaptable, solutions-oriented, and highly collaborative
Proficiency in the following software platforms is strongly preferred:
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Sketch Up
- Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
- Project management and coordination platforms preferred (Asana, , Procore, or similar)
Experience with rendering, visualization, and presentation software is a plus.
