Location: New York

Exclusive Staging is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a design professional who is passionate about creating elevated interiors and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Senior Interior Designer will lead staging projects from concept through installation while overseeing project schedules, client communication, procurement, and team coordination.

The ideal candidate has 4-6+ years of professional interior design or staging experience
, with a strong understanding of both residential and hospitality-style interiors, FF&E sourcing, technical documentation, and project management. This individual should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining our standard of exceptional design.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead projects through all phases of the design process, from initial concept development through installation.
  • Develop design presentations, material palettes, furniture plans, and client deliverables.
  • Source furniture, lighting, artwork, accessories, and custom furnishings from a wide range of vendors.
  • Produce and review construction drawings, elevations, specifications, and design documentation.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, and installation timelines.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, fabricators, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee ordering, tracking, and logistics to ensure timely project execution.
  • Mentor and support junior designers while maintaining design quality across all projects.
  • Conduct site visits, installations, and quality control reviews.
  • Collaborate with leadership on project strategy, business development initiatives, and process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 4-6+ years of professional interior design experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and design presentation software. Experience with Sketch Up, Rhino, or rendering software is a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of furniture, materials, finishes, lighting, and construction detailing.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of design excellence.
  • Experience working on luxury residential, staging, hospitality, or multifamily projects is preferred.
