Activewear Designer (Contract)

Location: Midtown Manhattan (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $50/hour

One of our major fashion clients is seeking an experienced Women s Activewear Designer for a contract opportunity to provide coverage while a member of their design team is on leave.

This is a great opportunity for a designer with a strong background in women s active wear who can quickly integrate into a fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have experience designing apparel using cotton and stretch fabrics, with the ability to bring concepts to life through both hand sketches and production-ready CADs.

Responsibilities:

• Design women s active wear apparel, including sweatpants, tops, and other performance-inspired pieces.
• Create detailed CADs, technical sketches, and presentation boards.
• Develop trend-right designs that align with the brand s aesthetic and customer.
• Collaborate with merchandising, technical design, and product development teams throughout the design process.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience designing women s active wear
  .
• Strong knowledge of cotton, stretch, and performance fabrics
  .
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and CAD design.
• Excellent hand sketching and technical drawing skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Details:

• Contract opportunity with an initial duration of at least 4 weeks
  , with the potential for extension.
