AboutJL Ramirez Interiors is a boutique interior design firm providing services to clients in New York, New Jersey, and across the country. The firm specializes in high-end residential design and works closely with its in-house architecture firm, J.L. Ramirez Architect. With seven architects and four interior designers, the team efficiently oversees all phases of design, from initial concept through construction drawings and project installation.
Job DescriptionThe position requires a comprehensive understanding of interior architecture, design, 3D modeling, rendering, drafting, space planning, and custom furniture design. The Junior Interior Designer will support senior staff through all phases of projects from conception to completion. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Enter and maintain project budgets and schedules.
- Generate and issue proposals and purchase orders.
- Track and coordinate the delivery of orders.
- Assist in preparing design presentations for client meetings.
- Prepare furniture plans and interior elevations using AutoCAD.
- Prepare computer renderings for presentations and design studies.
- Record accurate meeting minutes and action items.
- Research and source fabrics, finishes, furniture, lighting, fixtures, and other materials.
- Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
- One to two years of previous interior design experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, including architectural detailing and custom furniture design.
- Proficiency in Rhino.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of custom furniture design is a plus.
- Knowledge of Studio Designer is a plus.
Salary commensurate with experience.
