Senior Apparel Designer- Kids

Global apparel manufacture of apparel is looking for a Senior Designer to head up newly acquired licensed brand popular in the 90's for their kid's division.

This role will require working with and managing a lot of graphics, so extensive Graphic Design experience will be a must.

Lead the creation and development of new clothing lines that reflect current fashion trends and anticipate future styles. This includes creating detailed design sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes. Knits and Denim will be a key component for this role.

• Collaboration
  :
  Work closely with product development, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure designs meet aesthetic criteria and commercial objectives. Participate in product development meetings to discuss design concepts and feasibility.
• Market Research
  :
  Conduct market research to identify trends, fabrics, and techniques that inform design decisions. Stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences.
• Mentorship
  :
  Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and fostering their growth within the team.
• Project Management
  :
  Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure that launch deadlines are met. Oversee the design process from concept through to final production.
• Quality Assurance
  :
  Conduct product quality checks and revisions to meet design standards, ensuring that the final products align with brand identity and market needs.

• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Graphic Design Experience a must!!
• Experience
  :
  Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in apparel design for kids, with a proven track record of successful collections and design projects.
• Technical Skills
  :
  Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools, along with a strong understanding of fabrics, textiles, and garment construction techniques.
• Portfolio
  : A strong portfolio showcasing design skills, creativity, and previous work in apparel design.
