UI & UX Designer

• Collaborate closely with wellness pod leads in product and engineering to internalize product vision, align goals, and improve iterations for pet parents and business objectives
• Understand the end-to‑end pet owner experience, balancing preventive care with accident and illness needs
• Balance annual goals, quarterly initiatives, and sprint plans so day‑to‑day work supports high‑level objectives
• Advocate for pet parents and veterinarians, elevate customer experience, and drive cross‑functional engagement
• Tailor design methods to problem scope and complexity to maximize customer learnings, leads, sales, or satisfaction metrics
• Create sketches, wireframes, and other designs at the fidelity appropriate to the problem
• Build scalable experiences within shared design systems and patterns
• Use metrics and user insights to validate solutions and iterate continuously
• Leverage Figma, Cursor, Claude, Adobe CS, and low/no‑code platforms to prototype interactive experiences
• Adopt emerging technology, AI tools, and automated workflows while balancing speed, privacy, and craft
• Challenge the status quo by building and demonstrating prototypes and identifying better paths for the pet insurance experience
• Lead initiatives end‑to‑end from discovery and inception through validation, build, launch, and insight‑driven iteration

• 5+ years of experience in UX, product design, and/or product‑adjacent front‑end development
• Experience designing successful digital products with a focus on user experience, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and growth/purchase funnels
• Ability to gather actionable research insights efficiently and tailor research to specific unknowns or questions
• High proficiency with modern design tools and design systems
• Strong desire to adopt AI integrations and low/no‑code tools
• Demonstrated ability to inspire, collaborate with, and communicate effectively across engineering, product, and business stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong command of and willingness to embrace new design/product software and technology
• Knowledge of growth, purchase funnel, and CVR optimization best practices
• Prior work, background, or volunteer experience in the pet, veterinary, or health/wellness space
• Active involvement or thought leadership within the design and product community
• Strong professional network within tech or design
• Genuine love of animals
