Intermediate Interior Designer | New York | $95,000–$105,000
We’re working with an established, design-led interior architecture practice in New York looking to appoint an Intermediate Interior Designer with a strong hospitality background
.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented designer with 5–8 years’ experience to join a creative team working across a diverse portfolio of high-end hospitality and residential projects throughout the US and internationally.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong design sensibility, excellent technical ability and a genuine passion for interiors, materials, furniture and detail.
The RoleYou’ll be involved throughout the design process, from early concept through to installation, working across projects including:
- High-end restaurants, bars and hotels
- Mixed-use and multi-use developments
- High-end residential projects
- Refurbishment, fit-out and new-build schemes
- Develop design documentation including DD and CD packages, schedules and specifications
- Produce creative concepts across 2D, 3D and hand-drawn formats
- Develop space plans and general arrangement drawings
- Produce detailed technical drawings and custom FF&E/fixture details
- Develop FF&E, finishes and material specifications
- Stay current with interior, furniture and design trends
- Liaise directly with clients, consultants, suppliers and manufacturers
- Review shop drawings and support the design development process
- Assist with project budgets and deliverables
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- 5–8 years’ experience within an architectural or interior design practice
- Strong experience across hospitality and/or high-end residential interiors
- An excellent portfolio demonstrating both creative design and technical documentation
- Strong detailing and specification skills
- Excellent knowledge of FF&E, finishes and materials
- Strong CAD skills, preferably Vectorworks, but willing to cross train.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up and Bluebeam
- Experience with Design Spec or similar specification software is advantageous
- Strong communication and presentation skills

Salary: $95,000–$105,000, depending on experience.
