Freelance Technical Designer - Womens Performance Activewear

We are looking for a Freelance Technical Designer Womens Performance Activewear for a top fashion company in New York, New York.

• Participate in Tech Pack pass off and provide technical support for Design to build necessary detail sketches in development stage
• Understand Design requirement and add size charts to the Centric system
• Work with Hub / SCFT for proto / SMS making, both physical and digital samples, accurately translating required aesthetic and fit
• Lead the risk assessment process with Supply, RM & QA to mitigate risk in bulk stage
• Organize & prepare fit sessions and interact with Design & Supply teams with necessary technical feedback
• Provide fit comments with relevant detail to correct fit/aesthetic issues and move to approval
• Follow up with the cross functional team on the risk mitigation action & testing reports
• Maintain the block samples & fit samples library
• Day to day emails and follow-ups
• Support the leader on building new blocks and projects

• 5-7+ years experience in a Technical Design role preferred
• Pattern making & garment construction and make detail knowledge preferred
• Degree in Technical Design or equivalent work experience
• Category-specific technical expertise – performance wear
• Well organized, and strong time management; understanding of product development process and calendars
• Strong verbal & written communication skills with the ability to take on initiatives
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast paced environment
• Strong detail orientation, self-motivated team player with superior interpersonal skills
• Excellent PC skills, including Excel, Word, Power Point, Illustrator
• 3D, Browzwear, PLM.
• Strong team player
